Stuff Magazine Cover

Today I was reading the October edition of 'Stuff' Magazine on my ipad and unusually took sometime to think about the front cover.
I noticed that the picture is in front of the mast head as I've now seen with a few magazines recently, this suggests that the picture is more important than the name of the magazine. The main picture is also the biggest thing on the page and it is right in the middle, so it's the centre of attention, and they want it
to attract potential readers when they see it on the shelf.
The target audience is men who are interested in technology so to have a picture of a girl holding a tablet is likely to attract the attention of the right audience.
I also noticed that the pictures and cover lines link really well with what's inside so when people read it they are not disappointed and think it is worth the money, so they may buy it again the next month.
